Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days/Eves/Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience preferred License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float to 8 different units Telemetry monitoring experience Ability to perform cardiac drips and interpret telemetry strips Description: This position involves floating throughout the hospital to various Med/Surg Tele areas. You will be responsible for cardiac monitoring, administering cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours. Experience with TR Band is required. You will care for ED border patients and serve as a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit. The role includes caring for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU. The clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 on days and evenings, and up to 6:1 on nights. Units typically range from 8 to 41 beds. You will rotate shifts between days, evenings, and nights. The electronic medical record charting system used is EPIC. Active Massachusetts RN License, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications are required.
