Position in telemetry/step-down unit.
Start date is 3-4 weeks from compliance tier submission.
Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4-5.
Weekend requirement is every other weekend.
No on-call requirement.
Floating may be required within scope to meet facility needs.
Block schedule accommodation is not available.
Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted.
No additional time off requests can be made post-submission.
Maximum of 7 days of RTO is allowed during the contract.
RTO cannot exceed 7 days per 13-week contract.
No RTO is allowed during the first week of the assignment.
Type of facility is short-term acute care.
Total staffed beds are 1,273.
Navy blue scrubs are required.
Charting is done using EPIC.
Daily census averages 32 patients.
The unit has a variety of patient diagnoses, including CHF, arrhythmias, and heart valve disease.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and more.
Special procedures available in the unit consist of cardiac catheterization, echocardiograms, and treadmill stress tests.
Management of dysrhythmias and cardiac drips is part of patient care.
Experience with high-flow nasal cannula, blood product administration, and post-cardiac procedures is required.
Telemetry skills, including monitoring and interpretation, are necessary.
Collaborative care with various teams is expected.
