Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), every other weekend Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Two (2) years of acute care RN experience Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective, patient-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN assists in maintaining a financially stable unit and promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying caring processes, the RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN utilizes educational and professional experiences to deliver quality care and mentor/precept staff. Job Responsibilities: Assessment: Performs assessments and reassessments according to policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Development & Implementation: Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care and reviews and revises the plan as needed. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family. Evaluation: Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions.
