The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.
Using the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care.
The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction.
The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring staff.
Responsibilities include performing assessments and reassessments as warranted by patient conditions.
The RN demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions.
They initiate, prioritize, and implement the plan of care, revising it as necessary.
Collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services is essential.
The RN utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of patients and families.
Monitoring and documenting patient responses to clinical interventions are key responsibilities.
The RN facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs.
