Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: A minimum of 2 years of current Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience is required. License: Must have an active state or compact nursing license. Certifications: - AHA BLS - AHA ACLS - NIHSS Must-Have: - Ability to float within the scope of practice. - Availability to work every other weekend. - Willingness to work a 36/48 schedule over a two-week pay period. Description: Looking for a qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry. The assignment requires a minimum of 2 years of current Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience. The nurse will care for patients with a ratio of 1:5 to 1:6. Experience with Meditech as the electronic medical record system is preferred. The roles involve managing various medical conditions, including cardiac telemetry and post-operative care. The nurse should be proficient in accessing and managing ports, CPR and ACLS protocols, and treating dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include supporting patients with feeding tubes, epidural analgesia, and continuous bladder irrigation. The role demands competency in performing phlebotomy and managing telemetry. Applicants should be prepared to work on a flexible schedule without blocked scheduling. The position requires the ability to adapt to fluctuating patient census and call-ins. All applicants must provide evidence of required certifications. Additional responsibilities may include compliance with established guidelines for infection control and patient safety.
