Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required License: State or compact licensure required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Travel experience Telemetry experience Description: Must have travel experience. Telemetry experience is required. This position involves caring for patients post-cardiac intervention including heart catheterization, pacemaker placement, CABG, TAVR, and more. No local candidates will be accepted. Patient ratios will be 6:1. Experience in managing cardiac telemetry is essential. Candidates must have experience with medication management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and IV maintenance. Candidates are expected to handle various cardiac procedures such as post-cardiac angiogram and post-myocardial infarction care. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE is necessary. The unit also involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, social services, and pharmacy. The patient population consists of adults and geriatrics with a range of diagnoses such as CHF, hypertension, stroke, and respiratory distress. Special equipment and procedures within the unit include pacing wires, chest tube maintenance, and several cardiac surgical interventions. Candidates may be required to float within the facility. Recent professional cancellations will be reviewed prior to submission. License compliance will be verified upon application.
