Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: NC or Compact license pending ok for submittal Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required Accessing ports, blood product administration, central line/care management, and PICC line management experience Ability to titrate cardiac drips such as Diltiazem and Amiodarone Experience in post-cardiac catheterization Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on the unit could result in a cancellation and DNR. Floating is required as needed, with potential to float every shift. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Local candidates accepted. Ratios on the unit are 1:6-7. Expectation to work 5-6 weekend shifts, equating to every other weekend. Contract staff may be assigned and expected to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. Experience in managing cardiac patients is essential. Teamwork approach is mandatory, along with adhering to behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff. Call-off policy will be strongly enforced.
