Description:
Minimum of 1 year experience is preferred.
First timers are accepted.
Charge Nurse experience is requested.
The patient population includes adults to geriatrics.
We care for patients with post myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease.
Experience with telemetry, EKG, and Doppler is required.
The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5.
The unit has 16 beds with an average daily census of 16.
Epic is the required charting system.
The scrub color is navy blue.
Six weekend shifts are required over a six-week scheduling period.
Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice as needed.
There are no call requirements.
If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is required to work both.
If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler must work two of the holidays.
Full compliance is required to start on time.
Clinical screen will determine clinical fit.
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
Experience must include skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, and various patient care protocols.
Additional skills include central line care, post cardiac angiogram, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, and wound care.
The unit supports interdisciplinary services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and more.
