Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Must hold a valid RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 1 year of EPIC experience - Ability to float to other units or facilities as needed Description: Position available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Tele. This role involves working with inpatient adults who have actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease. You will care for cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation treatments. Tasks include vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, and cardiac telemetry monitoring. You will also be responsible for EKG monitoring and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring. The patient ratio during nights is expected to be manageable, with weekend coverage required every other weekend. Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Candidates must demonstrate competencies to float to other units as required. Pre-assignment testing and modules are required for all traveling staff, which must be completed within a specified timeframe. Successful candidates will be part of an environment focused on high-quality patient care and support.
