Job Title: RN - Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Description: Travel RN position available in a telemetry unit. The unit consists of 37 beds with a mix of nursing staff. The day shift has 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians, and 1 Unit Clerk. The night shift is staffed with 8 RNs and 3 Patient Care Technicians. Patient ratios are estimated to be 1:6, with 1:4 for Heart Catheterization patients. The equipment used includes PCA Pumps and IV pumps, with chest tubes. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Key skills sought include travel RNs with strong critical thinking abilities. Candidates must possess BLS and ACLS certifications. Typical procedures on the unit include central line placements, medication drips, heart catheterization recovery, and bubble studies. Looking for individuals with a positive attitude, engagement, and the ability to work independently. The unit values proactive and strong critical thinking skills in candidates.
