Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3*12
Shift Length: 11.5 hours | 3 shifts/week (34.5 hours/week)

MD Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with Cardio Surgical ICU (CSICU) or Cardiac ICU experience for a travel contract in New York City. The Clinical Nurse will provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill cardiac patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate critically ill cardiac surgery patients.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR.
  • Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards.
  • Participate in bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active New York State RN License
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required
  • BLS (AHA) Certification
  • ACLS (AHA) Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardio Surgical ICU (CSICU) or Cardiac ICU experience
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required
