Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgical ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Trained and worked in a dedicated open-heart unit receiving patients directly from the OR. Current experience with recovery of post-op cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting. Experience with ventilators, CRRT, Swan ganz catheters, epicardial wires/pacemakers, and vasoactive drip titration. Experience with level 1 IABP and ECMO preferred. License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS required. ACLS preferred. Critical Care Certification preferred. Trauma course preferred. EPIC knowledge preferred. Must-Have: Current registered nurse license. BLS certification. Experience in an ICU setting with post-op cardiac surgery patients. Description: This position is for an RN in a Cardiovascular Surgical ICU. The unit provides care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, and more complex procedures. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:1 or 1:2. The role requires a high level of critical thinking and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
