Job Title: Surgical ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Experience: 2 Years of Current Surgical ICU Experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Strong Surgical ICU Experience Description: The Surgical ICU is focused on the care of ICU patients and post-surgical ICU patients. We care for a diverse patient population receiving various types of surgeries. Surgical specialties include Trauma, GI Surgery, Ortho/Neuro Spine procedures, Transplant, Vascular, Surgical ENT, and General Surgery. Candidates are required to have an RN License and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include Critical Care Certification, trauma course, EPIC experience, and ACLS certification. Two previous travel assignments are advantageous. Staff may be required to float to other areas with a similar skill set. The unit accommodates 20 beds dedicated to adult surgical ICU patients.
