Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years of recent ICU experience License: Ohio license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH required Must-Have: - Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU experience preferred - First-time travelers accepted - Floating required - Call required Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience. Experience in Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU is preferred. BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required. An Ohio nursing license is necessary for this role. The nurse will work 36 hours per week on a night shift schedule. Nights are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend included. Documentation will be done using Epic. The role requires management of complex patient needs and participation in interdisciplinary support. Staffing includes support from IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. The unit cares for a diverse patient population, including trauma, transplant, and surgical patients. Special procedures and equipment, such as ventilators and invasive monitoring, will be utilized. The nurse must demonstrate skills in critical care nursing and patient management. Compliance with credentialing requirements and timely processing is crucial for this position.
