Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 2 years of recent ICU experience License: State license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required, NIH required Must-Have: - Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU experience preferred - First-time travelers accepted - Floating required - Call required Description: Seeking Night Shift Travelers. Every Friday night and every Saturday night. Plus one additional night each week. Guaranteed hours of 36 hours per week. Requires experience in Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Candidate must have current BLS and ACLS certifications. Requires NIH certification. Ohio nursing license is mandatory. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of recent ICU experience. Must be proficient in Epic charting system. Candidates will be required to manage arterial lines and assist with chest tube insertion/removal. Experience with blood product administration and care of ventilated patients is necessary. Management of central lines and chronic/acute renal failure is essential. Candidates should be able to interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include phlebotomy and management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction or failure. Invasive monitoring exposure is needed, including experience with ventilators and IV pumps. Expectations also include administrative duties related to procedural sedation monitoring and patient care. The unit supports various interdisciplinary teams, including pharmacy and physical therapy. Essential patient diagnoses include trauma, transplant, burn, and various surgical specialties. This role may require floating to different units as needed. Candidates must comply with credentialing processes and any required documentation.
