Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: SICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in specialty License: Registered Nurse License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - MICU and/or SICU experience - Independent and competent ability to work with complex, high acuity medical and trauma/neuro/surgical ICU patients - Prefer rotating shift availability to meet flexing census - Ability to float as needed to other units based on census needs Description: This position requires a skilled and experienced registered nurse. The nurse will provide care to patients in a high acuity setting. Responsibilities include managing complex medical conditions and trauma cases. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in specialized skills such as central line care and ventilator management. Preferred candidates will have previous charge experience. Experience with specific charting systems is beneficial but not mandatory. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Flexibility to accommodate varying weekend needs is essential. Candidates should be comfortable managing a patient ratio of 2:1. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census in the unit varies, and each day brings unique challenges in a critical care environment.
