The nurse will perform medical procedures not typically provided by regular teacher assistants to maintain students in the least restrictive environment. They will act as active members of the educational team in providing services to students. The nurse will work under the supervision of the Certified School Nurse assigned to the student's program. Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this role are representative of what is necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Standing and walking abilities are required for extended periods, up to 4-6 hours per day. Sitting for up to 2-4 hours during instruction or meetings is expected.
