Job Summary:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation in Boston, Massachusetts. This position involves caring for adult patients with neurovascular and musculoskeletal conditions on a 30-bed unit. The role includes delivering comprehensive nursing care, performing specific clinical procedures, and documenting in EPIC electronic health record systems.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) on weekdays, and 8-hour shifts (3 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.) every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical or rehabilitation nursing; experience with EPIC documentation, PICC line care, IV antibiotics, TPN, tube feeding (NGT, G-tube, GJ-tube), EKG, wound care (vac dressings, simple dressings), Foley catheterization, bladder irrigation, trach care, blood transfusions, ostomy and drain management, and restraint use.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neurovascular and musculoskeletal patient populations is preferred.
- Additional Information: The unit specializes in adult rehabilitation focusing on Stroke and Brain Injury patients, with occasional cases involving neuro diagnoses such as MS and Parkinsons disease, as well as post-operative musculoskeletal rehab (hip and knee surgeries).
