Job Title: Rehabilitation Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: Current CPR/BLS Card Must-Have: Stroke certification preferred, but not required Description: This position is for night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The unit provides comprehensive care similar to a medical floor, excluding Heparin Drips. There is a high neuro population, making stroke certification a plus, though not mandatory. Weekend shifts will occur every third weekend, including Friday and Saturday nights. Sundays will be considered part of the regular work week, but some flexibility can be offered for that night if needed. The role involves assessing patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team. Providing explanations and instructions to patients or responsible persons is a key responsibility. Demonstrating the ability to use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition is essential. Contributing to a healthy workplace environment through professional communication skills is expected. Meeting core measure responsibilities related to patient care is part of the role. Participation in continuing education is required. Maintaining complete and accurate medical records is necessary.
