Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: 1 year of inpatient acute care experience required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS Certification required Must-Have: Experience with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, spinal surgeries, and amputees Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. This position involves providing care to patients with complex rehabilitation needs. The nurse to patient ratio is 5 patients to 1 nurse. Nurses are required to attend team conferences during acute inpatient rehabilitation. Charge nurses take assignments on this unit and support staff as needed. Nurse aides are available intermittently with a ratio of 1 aide to 8-10 patients. Therapies provided on the unit include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, and neuropsychology. Common equipment used includes CPAP, BiPap, transfer equipment, trachs, nasal cannulas, PEG and Mickey buttons, and NG tubes. Employees may submit requests for scheduling, but self-scheduling is not permitted. The schedule includes rotating weekends, with weekend work expected four times per month. Holiday work is also required as scheduled. There is no standby or call requirement associated with this position. Floating to other acute care floors may occur if staffing allows. The dress code for this position is royal blue scrubs. Training specific to the unit and department will be provided.
