Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: RNFA Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Experience: Minimum of 5 years preferred, with previous travel experience strongly preferred. License: Valid Michigan license required Certifications: Must have required certifications for RNFA. Must-Have: - Proficiently harvest vein endoscopically. - CVOR experience required. - Able to scrub independently. - Previous experience in vein harvesting and cardiac areas rated 3 or 4. - Will accept STFA at a different rate. Description: The position requires proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting. Candidates must have experience in the cardiovascular operating room. Scrub experience is required. Candidates must be able to work independently. An ASAP start is desired by May 4, May 11, or May 18. There is a call requirement of 12 to 18 days per month. Weekend coverage of 2 to 3 weekends per month is also required. Candidates must provide general department first assistant coverage when cardiac procedures are not applicable. Additional experience in orthopedic, vascular, gynecological, thoracic, and general surgeries is required. Daily census is expected to be between 80 to 100 cases. The unit contains 21 operating rooms and various interdisciplinary support services. Special procedures involve eyes, ENT, dental, maxillofacial, urology, gynecology, robotic surgeries, pediatrics, trauma, plastics, breast, neuro, orthopedic spine, and cardiac vascular surgeries. Special equipment includes XI robots and an endovascular suite.
