- Da Vinci robotic surgery experience in urology, gynecology, colorectal, surgical oncology, thoracic, and general surgery
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
Description:
The RN First Assistant (RNFA) is a highly trained registered nurse who collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during operations.
The RNFA practices perioperative nursing and possesses the necessary knowledge, skills, and judgment specific to the clinical practice in the operating room.
In the operative phase, the RNFA works in collaboration with the surgeon while performing duties of an Operating Room staff RN when not assigned in the RNFA role.
Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course is required.
Robotic surgery experience is preferred.
The role includes both scrubbing and circulating responsibilities.
The RNFA will be required to take call, including evening shifts and rotating holidays, but weekends are not part of the schedule.
