RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
• Previous psychiatric nursing, behavioral health nursing, or mental health RN experience preferred
• Experience working with adolescent patients preferred
• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact state eligibility, as applicable
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and patient assessment skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient behavioral health setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adolescent patients in a behavioral health unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status, behaviors, and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and facility protocols
• Support crisis intervention, safety planning, and therapeutic communication efforts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Help foster a structured, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
