KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Lead and manage surgical services operations on a 24/7 basis
Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets
Oversee staffing, recruitment, performance management, and employee development
Monitor quality outcomes and implement performance improvement initiatives
Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance
Manage equipment purchasing and maintenance processes
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Analyze operational data to improve efficiency, quality, and patient outcomes
Lead workflow redesign and process improvement initiatives
Support risk management, case management, and clinical excellence programs

REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License required
Active BLS Certification (AHA required within 60 days of hire)
Minimum 5 years of experience within surgical services or specialty area
Progressive leadership and management experience in the Operating Room (OR) setting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or related field
3-5 years of progressive management experience
Specialty or healthcare administration certification
Strong budget, operational, and personnel management experience

IDEAL CANDIDATE


Proven OR leadership experience
Strong staff development and coaching abilities
Experience driving quality improvement and operational excellence
Effective communicator with physicians, leadership, and clinical teams
Skilled in strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making
