Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health is responsible for providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric nursing care in an inpatient mental health setting. The RN will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide safe and supportive care for behavioral health patients across various populations.
Available Units/Shifts:
- Youth Population – Evening & Night shifts
- High Acuity Adult Population – Day, Evening & Night shifts
- Older Adult Population – Evening & Night shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and coordinate nursing care with physicians and care teams
- Monitor patient progress and document care accurately
- Provide emotional support and patient/family education
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
- Supervise and delegate duties to support staff when needed
- Participate in discharge planning and aftercare coordination
- Follow all behavioral health nursing standards, safety protocols, and facility policies
