Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for a 9-week contract assignment in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. The DON will oversee nursing department operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and operational efficiency within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.

This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to effectively manage nursing staff, patient care standards, and facility operations.


Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the nursing department
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff performance
Manage staffing schedules and departmental workflow
Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams
Monitor patient care outcomes and safety standards
Maintain accurate clinical and operational documentation
Assist with policy implementation and regulatory readiness


Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Previous Director of Nursing or nursing leadership experience preferred
Strong knowledge of long-term care and skilled nursing regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage nursing operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Experience with staff management, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives preferred
