Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Inpatient Behavioral Health team for a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric nursing care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, compassion, professionalism, and the ability to provide care to behavioral health patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Coordinate and provide nursing care under physician direction.
  • Monitor patient progress and continually evaluate and update care plans.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge planning, and aftercare needs.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Monitor for changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to providers.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
  • Delegate and coordinate assignments for support staff as appropriate.
  • Promote patient-centered, compassionate care while maintaining professional standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support best-practice standards.
  • May function as a charge nurse and assist with staff training and development.
