Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 Weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 10 Hours (2:00 PM - 12:00 AM) Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Relevant nursing certifications Must-Have: - Ability to manage frequent stair climbing and descending - Experience in corrections medical settings Description: Provide nursing care in a correctional facility. Make rounds and evaluate care needed and rendered. Develop and implement care plans and teach healthcare principles. Administer medications, including narcotics, and provide direct nursing care as needed. Perform specialized procedures, including IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusion, incubation, CPR, tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning, and phlebotomy duties. Organize and oversee emergency response teams. Direct healthcare staff assigned to the area. Act as the lead worker in charge of the assigned shift in the absence of higher-level nursing personnel. Assist physicians in diagnostic health evaluations. Manage clerical tasks such as charting and recording medications, treatments, and pertinent medical information. Complete required incident and accident reports. Document required information and manage inventory of all controlled substances, medications, and equipment. Arrange for outpatient clinic appointments and medical examinations. Coordinate new and refill prescriptions as ordered by physicians. Perform administrative tasks and serve as a liaison within the organization. Conduct and attend meetings as required. Serve as an instructor on occasion. Participate in problem-solving teams or groups as assigned.
