Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Psych experience License: Oklahoma Certifications: NIH, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: De-Escalation training preferred Description: Responsible for input given into the formulation of the patient care plan. Responsible for attending weekly clinical staffing and reviewing patient treatment plans. Directly responsible for medication education with all patients and families. Assures patients' emotional and mental observations are reported to medical and clinical staff and documented accurately and precisely in the patient chart. Conducts teaching and educational groups as scheduled. Trains LPNs and MHTs in charting, vital signs, patient routines, and de-escalation techniques. Acts as an active part of a performance improvement team or other task force of the unit. Accepts educational or marketing assignments as made by the Manager. Maintains Therapeutic Options certification up to date. Serves as a positive role model for patients and colleagues, demonstrating appropriate language, dress, hygiene, and behavior.
