Job Title: RN Charge/Supervisor Profession: Nursing Administration Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current unencumbered license to practice Certifications: BLS, Handle With Care (HWC - can be completed on-site) Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing. - CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. - Must be at least 21 years of age. - Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends. Description: The RN Charge/Supervisor will oversee nursing operations within the Behavioral Health division. This position requires the supervision of a team of nursing staff and coordination of patient care. The RN will work with both adult psychiatric and chemical dependency patients. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations. Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred. The RN should exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to motivate families in treatment planning. The RN will be required to float among different units as necessary. The shift will be from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:11.
