Job Title: Travel RN - Behavioral Health Profession: RN Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Behavioral Health License: RN License Certifications: BLS, CPI Certification or Calm Every Storm Certification Description: This position involves working in an adult behavioral health setting. The unit accommodates 120 beds and has approximately 50 staff members. Staff includes both day and night shift RNs and mental health technicians. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:8 to 1:9 during both day and night shifts. The essential skill set includes experience as a travel RN and familiarity with mental health practices. Candidates must possess BLS certification and either CPI or Calm Every Storm certification. Behavioral Health inpatient experience is preferred. Typical procedures on the unit include behavioral health admissions and discharges. The role also involves leading RN resources classes and floating to other inpatient adult behavioral health units as needed. Flexibility and the ability to manage varying patient acuity levels are crucial. A team player with compassion is essential for this role.
