The RN will be responsible for the care of patients with cardiac conditions. The patient population includes those requiring care for CABG, ICDs, pacemakers, and vascular surgeries. The nurse will manage cardiac drips and titrate medications as needed. The shift will be daytime, working four 12-hour shifts per week. The nurse will be part of a team that monitors patient conditions and works closely with telemetry techs. The expected patient ratios are 1:4 during the day and 1:6 at night. Scrubs are navy blue and must be solid in color. The RN will be required to float to other facilities as needed. Working holidays is mandatory during the summer holiday rotation. This position requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to handle rapid changes in patient conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong cardiac and telemetry background and be comfortable in a progressive care setting. Professional references are preferred from charge nurses, nurse managers, director-level or above. Candidates should have documentation demonstrating their skills and experience specific to this nursing specialty.
