The position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a progressive care unit. First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius. Candidates should possess certification in BLS and NIHSS; NIHSS must be included in the submission. The role includes interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and utilizing rapid response/code teams. Peripheral line care and management for IV therapy and phlebotomy are essential skills. Candidates should be proficient in respiratory management, including the use of nasal cannulas and oxygen face masks. This unit aims to provide evidence-based care to adult, acute care patients who require more specialized care. Patients may come from various departments and will have continuous monitoring. The nursing team must be adaptable, vigilant, and provide compassionate care. There are additional responsibilities regarding patient care services tailored to individual needs. The facility operates with a team approach, including interdisciplinary support from various health services.
