Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty required. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: 18 months recent step-down experience preferred. Experience in PCU/progressive care preferred but not required. References from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for are required for submission. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a step-down unit. The nurse will provide care for patients transitioning from higher levels of care. There is potential to float to different units to care for similar patient populations. The position requires working rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. All travelers must work at least every other holiday. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safe medication assessment will be completed during orientation. Acceptable scores on both assessments are required. Travelers are expected to comply with facility requirements regarding COVID-19 and flu vaccinations. All required certifications must be active and in hand for submission. Candidates with background hits or open cases will not be accepted. Travelers must be nicotine-free unless exempt. Modules required by the facility will need to be completed. Time keep as per the policies surrounding assignments and extensions.
