Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Stepdown unit.
The position requires working night shifts on weekends.
Nurses will be responsible for providing care for a diverse patient population.
This includes the management of common diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, and abdominal pain.
The unit requires a nurse to be proficient in titrating drips.
Nurses must be capable of reading telemetry strips alongside telemetry monitor technicians.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is generally 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:4-6 for other units.
A charge nurse is budgeted for the unit, and a house supervisor is always available.
Successful candidates will demonstrate flexibility to float to other units as needed.
This position requires a commitment to ensure high-quality patient care and teamwork.
Shift scheduling includes two weekends per month and integration into the permanent staff holiday schedule.
Candidates must possess a valid nursing license and up-to-date BLS certification.
