Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for required. License: Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: Must have recent Stepdown experience. Travel experience will suffice. Must have ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in a Stepdown unit. The work involves potential floating to other departments to care for the same patient population. The schedule includes 3x12 hour shifts for both day and night options, with potential variable shifts. Must work every other holiday. Candidates must have 18 months of combined permanent experience in Stepdown. References from managers or supervisors in the specialty applying for will be required. All required certifications must be active with nothing pending. The facility does not accept any traveler with an open case in background checks. A negative drug screen must be completed within 12 months of the start date. Candidates will receive two attempts maximum to pass the required assessments. Permanent and per diem candidates are not eligible to return for one year from their previous end date. Candidates may extend with the client for a total of 18 months before a 6-month break is required. Modules related to this position must be completed pre-start and annually.
