Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of previous cardiac stepdown experience. - Active nursing license required. License: - Active Illinois nursing license required. Certifications: - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - EPIC experience required. - Skills checklist must be specific to Stepdown / Progressive Care. Description: The traveler will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses. Night shift has a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6. Charge nurses will attempt to make assignments as safe as possible, considering each nurse's level of cardiac experience. Professional references from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO performance evaluation are preferred. A driver's license is required. This position involves every other weekend commitment.
