Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years License: State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required - Vent and transplant experience Description: The Registered Nurse will work in both the Intermediate Care Acute Medical and Progressive Care unit. Evening and night shifts available, 12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Telemetry experience is necessary, with a focus on acutely ill surgical and trauma patients. Must be skilled in managing electronic health record systems. Candidates should have experience in accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration. Care for ventilated patients and manage central lines and chest tubes. Experience with renal failure, tracheostomy care, wound care, and care for patients post-transplant is essential. This position requires critical thinking and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Registered Nurses will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for quality patient care. A telemetry test must be passed prior to starting, with specific passing criteria for identifying lethal rhythms. This is a fast-paced role focused on the care of patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability. Candidates are expected to float as needed within the unit.
