License: - RN license required. Certifications: - BLS required. - Critical Care Certification preferred. - ACLS preferred. Must-Have: - Experience with high acuity patients. - Experience taking care of patients who are 1+ days out from CABG, valve repairs, and valve replacements. - Experience with Mechanical Circulatory Support devices like LVADs. - Familiarity with caring for patients recovering from heart and lung transplants. Description: The role involves caring for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries. The unit is a fast-paced surgical step-down environment. Registered Nurses will work as part of a multidisciplinary team. There are a total of 32 beds including both monitored and non-monitored levels of care. Nurse-patient ratios are typically 1:3 during the day and 1:4 at night. This position requires expertise in managing high acuity patients with a focus on cardiovascular recovery.
