Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of previous experience preferred, cardiac and open heart experience preferred, at least 1 travel contract completed preferred License: State license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, central lines required. Familiarity with amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban, with some titration required. Driver's license, work history/resume, skills checklist completed within the last year, license verification, and one supervisory reference required. Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across various locations. The schedule includes every other weekend. The position requires the traveler to work 1-2 of the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. This role entails providing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown environment. Candidates must have the ability to identify and manage patient needs effectively within a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this position.
