Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 to 2 years required License: Valid state nursing license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Work settings include MS/Tele, telemetry, cardiac telemetry, and neuro stepdown. Strong understanding of cardiac monitoring and emergency response required. Experience in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias is essential. Competence in pre/post cardiac catheterization care. Expertise in sepsis management, wound care, alcohol withdrawal, and renal failure. Knowledge of AFIB, gastrointestinal bleeding, stroke care, and COVID-19 protocols is expected. Skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and central line care are necessary. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit. The nurse will provide care in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 1:5. Previous charge experience is preferred. First-timers are accepted for this position. Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments may be required based on unit needs. The role involves floating between multiple units as necessary. The nurse must have familiarity with telemetery, cardiac telemetry, and neuro stepdown units. Experience with feeding tube care and IV therapy is beneficial. Successful candidates will possess strong critical thinking and assessment skills. The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team is essential. Effective communication skills are required to engage with patients and their families.
