Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: Must have a valid RN license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: Must be able to pass the telemetry test. Should have experience monitoring telemetry patients. Description: Registered Nurses in this position will provide care to patients in a progressive care setting. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in general nursing skills such as IV starts, monitoring, labs, medication administration, and patient education. Experience with telemetry and Epic charting system is required. Candidates should exhibit competencies in blood product administration, central line care, and management of dysrhythmias. Nurses will be responsible for patient education and may work with interdisciplinary support teams. Ability to manage surgical drains and non-invasive airway management is necessary. The unit provides care for patients undergoing various post-surgical procedures and general medical concerns. Patient ratios are maintained at a level conducive to optimal care. Flexibility to float to other areas may be necessary based on patient needs. Candidates are required to adhere to all compliance deadlines and credentialing processes. Two professional references will be required, including a reference from someone in a leadership capacity.
