Description:
The unit consists of 22 beds with 16 rooms.
The average daily census is 20.
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
Common cases include burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, gynecology, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries.
Special procedures performed are burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy.
The shift is 12-hour nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Working every other or third weekend is required.
Floating within the organization is required.
Staffing includes interdisciplinary support such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Patient diagnoses include burns, plastic surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, flaps, leech therapy, urology, gynecological surgeries, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries.
The unit also involves special procedures like leech therapy and flap checks among others.

Management of dysrhythmias
