Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar setting. License: Active RN license required, pending license accepted only under specific conditions. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: Experience in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration. Skilled in central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support. Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation. Experience in telemetry and stepdown-level care. Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to float between various units. The nurse must be comfortable working in all PCU and MS settings. The contract involves three 12-hour shifts from evening until morning. The role requires EPIC charting experience. Staffing needs will be re-evaluated every four hours, and the nurse may float multiple times within a shift. The weekend commitment may include working every other weekend or six weekend shifts over a six-week period. The nurse is required to work one holiday during the 13-week contract. The unit typically operates under a patient ratio of 5:1 for PCU and 6:1 for MS. The facility is recognized for its excellence in nursing.
