Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years of current TELE/PCU/Stepdown experience License: Must have active state or compact license Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have experience with Meditech EMR Description: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of current TELE, PCU, or Stepdown experience. Patient ratios are 1:5 to 1:6. Candidates must be familiar with Meditech EMR. AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications are required. NIHSS certification is also required. Candidates must possess a valid state or compact nursing license. Floating within the scope of practice is required. Weekend work is required on a rotating basis. Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated. Travelers must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be considered. Candidates must adhere to a scheduling requirement of 84 hours every two weeks. All travelers must provide two references, one from a charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor. Both references must be completed within the last year. A copy of relevant certifications must be submitted for consideration. Background checks must be submitted upfront for any license hits or issues. Candidates must have the ability to work every holiday and provide up to 7 days of requested time off upfront. This position requires strong clinical skills, including medication administration and telemetry. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
