Description:
Candidates should have some oncology experience.
On the unit, staff are required to complete the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course to administer vesicant chemotherapy.
After completing a unit-based oncology course and unit orientation, staff will administer non-vesicant chemotherapy.
Patients receiving active chemotherapy infusions will not be assigned to a contract nurse unless they have completed the ONS course or are OCN certified.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
