Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,074 per week in Lima, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (36 Hour guarantee) Experience: 2+ Years Required; Post-operative open heart care experience Required; Critical Care Experience Highly Preferred License: Active Ohio/OH or Compact RN License Required Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS Required; Active American Heart Association ACLS Required Must-Have: - Chest tube and other drain management experience - Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access - Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips - Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities - Experience with assisting with chest tube removal, removing pericardial pacing wires, management of temporary pacers, and troubleshooting non-invasive ventilation devices - Must float to all units within skill level Description: This position follows a clinical interview process. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff. Candidates must possess a current skills checklist pertinent to the specialty (PCU). This position requires every other weekend work. Experience is essential for success in this role.
