Experience: 2+ Years Required; Post-operative open heart care experience Required; Critical Care Experience Highly Preferred
License: Active Ohio/OH or Compact RN License Required
Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS Required; Active American Heart Association ACLS Required
Must-Have:
- Chest tube and other drain management experience
- Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
- Experience with assisting with chest tube removal, removing pericardial pacing wires, management of temporary pacers, and troubleshooting non-invasive ventilation devices
- Must float to all units within skill level

Functioning within the mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on their shift.
RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills.
The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff.
Candidates must possess a current skills checklist pertinent to the specialty (PCU).
This position requires every other weekend work.
