The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. The nurse will oversee a patient ratio of 1:5, with potential flexibility to 1:6 on rare occasions. The nurse must be adaptable, willing to float to other departments as necessary. Nurse responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration. Knowledge of telemetry and understanding of dysrhythmias is required. Experience with management of various patient diagnoses including pulmonary, cardiac, and neurological conditions is essential. The nurse will participate in emergency response and rapid response teams as needed. Weekend coverage is required, with a minimum of 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule. The nurse will be expected to complete required training and compliance modules before the start of the assignment.
