The nurse will provide care for adult patients in a stepdown unit. The nurse will be expected to manage cardiac telemetry and ventilated patients. The role includes administering blood products and managing central lines. Experience in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is required. The nurse should be familiar with IV insulin protocols and vasoactive drips. The position involves providing care before and after cardiac procedures. The nurse should demonstrate competency in managing various medical equipment, including BiPAP and CPAP. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient care. Expectations include meeting patient care ratios and participating in a supportive environment. The facility upholds a smoke and nicotine-free policy. Candidates must have proof of an active nursing license upon application. Weekends may be required as part of the nursing schedule.
