Key Responsibilities of the RN - PCU- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
- Perform assessments and develop care plans for patients with various conditions including CHF, dysrhythmia, and more
- Administer medications, monitor cardiac rhythms, and manage IV lines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including CNAs, RTs, and intensivists
- Utilize EMR systems, specifically EPIC, and Alaris IV pumps for patient care documentation
Requirements of the RN - PCU- Minimum of 18 months experience in a PCU setting
- Valid RN license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience with traches, cardiac gtt, and chest tubes
